March Madness: Preparing for The Unexpected
Posted on: March 31st, 2016
March Madness tends to be one of the craziest times of the year for Men’s and Women’s Division I college basketball. The NCAA holds a tournament for what is believed to be the top 64 teams in the nation to compete for a national championship.
It’s an opportunity for college basketball athletes to develop a name for themselves. Although only ten players are on the court during each play of a game, the leadership and courage within each player helps an underdog develop into that Cinderella (that is the underdog team that proves itself a serious contender).
Fans, players and coaches alike must enjoy the unexpected. The unpredictability of the sport is what makes it such an eye-popping event for everyone involved. However, for a business, this same level of unpredictability can be scary.
A firm must analyze the sustainability of the company and understand how different changes within the economy and the market can affect the business both in the short and long term.
It is important for a thriving business to not just enforce the plan already made, but also plan for the opportunities that may arise that can change the business flow.
Preparation and organization, looking to the future and expecting the unexpected are key elements for any flourishing business.
