According to the Middle Market Institute, businesses are in investment mode based on their survey of the 4th quarter 2017. When asked “if you have an extra $1, where would you allocate it”, 69% of businesses surveyed indicated “Investment.” This is an increase from the 4th quarter of 2016 and 2015, when the survey results were 65% and 61% respectively. This is a very positive indicator for economic activity in general.
